The
Carraway Pain Center
The
Pain Center at Physicians Medical Center Carraway
(PMCC) has been providing chronic pain services to
patients in central and north Alabama for almost 20
years. Under the direction of board certified and
sub-specialty trained physicians, a wide range of
services for people with chronic pain are offered
including:

Lumbar, cervical and thoracic epidurals
> Sacroilliac and transforminal
injections
> Blood patches
> Trigger point injections (fibromyalgia)
> Flouroscopy, when indicated
The
Pain Center is conveniently located inside the new
Ambulatory Care Center next to PMCC. This state-of-
the art facility houses the latest in pain management
technology in a spacious and comfortable atmosphere.
Free parking is also provided.
The
Pain Center staff includes experienced nurses and
physicians who are highly skilled at managing chronic
pain conditions. Southern Perioperative Services provides
the physcians and offers similar pain managment services
at a number of facilities in central and west Alabama.
Appointments
for the Pain Center are made through a physician referral.
Registration is conveniently located inside the Ambulatory
Care Center. Treatment is based on individual needs
and conditions and includes follow-up care and referral
back to the physician.
Pain
Center services are covered by most major insurances.
Office hours are Monday - Friday from 7:30 a.m. until
4:30 p.m. Every attempt is made to accomodate the
patient’s scheduling needs.
After
an appointment has been made, patients will be contacted
to confirm the scheduled time and will be given the
following pre-treatment instructions:

Dress comfortably
> Eat nothing after midnight unless
otherwise instructed
> Take usual medications with
a sip of water
> Bring a companion or family
member for transportation home
