Bradford
Health Services online for more information about
our corporate and clinical treatment programs.
The
Bradford/Physicians Medical Center Carraway Behavioral
Health Units provide inpatient evaluation, stabilization
and treatment for acute psychiatric illnesses, geriatric
patients and detoxification for chemically dependent
patients. The patients are provided a structured environment
involving a multi-disciplinary treatment team approach.
The psychiatrists, nurses, counselors, social workers,
recreational therapists and occupational therapists
work together to develop individualized treatment plans,
which address the specific needs of the patient. The
goal is to stabilize the patient and to provide a support
system that allows the patient to return to the community
as quickly as possible.
While
in treatment the patient receives group and individual
therapy, recreational therapy, occupational therapy,
educational information, medical consults (when deemed
necessary by the physician) and discharge planning.
Family members are also involved in the patient’s
treatment and discharge plans.
